Every night out, counted

Dinners, vigils, auctions and comedy nights across Perth and Fremantle. Here is each one, what happened, and what it raised.

Seven nights that paid for the work

We hold events when we have the people and the venue, not when a disaster is already on the news. Money sitting ready is money we can send in days.

12 May 2015 Eat Greek, Fremantle About 100 guests $8,225 raised

Seventeen days after the earthquake we put on the Nepal Earthquake Relief Fundraising Dinner at Eat Greek in Fremantle. About a hundred people came. The money bought emergency supplies that our volunteers in Nepal handed out themselves.

Thank you to everyone who came, donated items or helped on the night. Friends of Nepal Inc. supported the evening.

1 July 2015 Eat Greek, Fremantle Sold out $6,920 raised

Eat Greek gave us the venue and the meal for free. Around a hundred guests came for live auctions, raffles, cultural performances, a buffet dinner and a straight account of where the first round of money had gone.

That took the two dinners to $15,145 between them. Both nights sold out.

Help us run the next one

An event takes about forty people

Most of them are not on the committee. If any of this sounds like something you could do, say so.

Sponsors

Back a night

Cover a cost such as the venue, the printing or the sound. Your business gets named on the night and in the write-up afterwards.

Auction

Donate an item

Signed sports memorabilia, artwork, a service, a weekend away. Auction lots have raised thousands in a single evening.

Performers

Play or dance

Perth has a lot of Nepali musicians and dancers. Our nights run on them. Get in touch if you want a spot.

Volunteers

Work the room

Door, tickets, raffle, setup, pack down. It is a few hours and it is the difference between a night that works and one that does not.
